Is there a good way for foreigners to make money in Korea?

Hello! It's been almost a year since I came to Korea. I work as an English instructor at an academy in Gangnam. When I receive my salary, I keep half of it in a Korean bank and send the rest to my U.S. account. However, I'm worried because the transfer fees are too high and it takes a long time. I want to enjoy delicious food and travel with my friends in Korea, but saving money is really difficult due to the exchange rate and fees. How can a foreigner like me save money effectively in Korea? Is anyone else facing similar concerns? I don't have many fixed expenses, but I have to pay for my U.S. phone bill, Korean phone bill, utilities, and a small student loan. I would greatly appreciate any good tips or advice!
