Effective Korean conversation methods for foreigners residing in Korea?

It's been a year since I came to Korea to learn Korean, but my conversation skills are still quite lacking. I'm currently taking a level 4 class, but my actual conversation level is stuck at level 2. My reading, listening, and writing skills are only at level 3 as well.
The university I attend focuses on grammar in its classes, and the lack of conversation practice is disappointing. This is especially difficult for me, as I have a learning disability. I've studied grammar, but applying it in conversation is very challenging. For example, I always use '아/어/해 서' instead of '으니까' or '거든요', and I don't even know how to use '왜냐하면'.
I don't want to date someone just to improve my Korean, and I hardly have any opportunities to converse in Korean aside from simple conversations with my landlord. With my friends, I can only manage basic conversations, and deeper discussions are tough.
I would like to participate in a language exchange meeting in Seoul, but understanding various accents is difficult for me, which feels like a significant burden. There are many times when I struggle to understand the class content, and I grasp things better when explanations are given in English.
Could you recommend more effective methods or other schools? Would Sogang University be better? I would appreciate your advice.
