What would be good to make soju beer (소맥) with American beer?

I am planning to visit the U.S. to meet my family. While there, I plan to enjoy various social events and barbecues with them, and my wife has already packed about 6-7 bottles of soju. I don't particularly like soju itself, but I really enjoy so-mak. I want to make so-mak using American beer instead of Korean beer, but I'm wondering which beer would pair well. I think the prices at H Mart for Korean beer would be too expensive, so I need an alternative. Which one would be better among Bud Light, Budweiser, and MGD? Has anyone tried this combination? I want to show my family and friends a taste of Korea's famous cocktail as closely as possible. I'm curious if it's feasible with American beer.
