Do you really have to do 'car break-in' when purchasing a new car in Korea?

Hello! I have some questions about 'breaking in a car' as I recently purchased a new car in Korea. When I was younger, I heard that you should drive carefully for about 1000 km after getting a new car. However, my husband says that in Korea, you should drive about 150-200 km when you first receive the car to help with oil circulation and to make the steering smoother. Has anyone had this experience? I'm curious if this 'breaking in' process is a common practice in Korea and whether it actually has any benefits. I would appreciate advice from anyone who has had this experience in places like Gangnam, Hongdae, or Itaewon. Thank you!
