Is it safe to experience nightlife as a foreigner in Korea?

Hello! I am from India and planning to visit Korea for a month in December with my French boyfriend. We plan to enjoy the nightlife mainly in areas like Gangnam, Hongdae, and Itaewon in Seoul, but I am curious if it will be safe for us to enjoy as foreigners. I am mainly concerned about whether we can experience nightlife without discrimination based on race or sexual orientation. I would like to know what the attitude and atmosphere towards foreigners are like in Korean clubs and bars. I heard that Itaewon is a place where many foreigners go, but are there any other places you would recommend? If there are people who know Korea well or have had similar experiences, I would appreciate any advice. Thank you!
