Is it necessary for a foreign wife in Korea to meet her husband's friends?

Hello. While living in Korea as a foreigner, I often find myself in situations where I need to meet my husband's friends or colleagues. I have an introverted personality, so these meetings feel burdensome to me. A few years ago, one of my husband's colleagues invited me to lunch, and I was touched by how kind they were to me. However, my husband scolded me for crying at that gathering. Recently, another colleague invited us to lunch, and my husband keeps trying to take me along. A friend living in Busan has also been reaching out, saying they want to meet with their family. My husband thinks it would be rude to decline these meetings, but I simply feel uncomfortable just sitting there, so I don't want to go. I'm really frustrated because my husband doesn't accept my refusal. Is it necessary to have these meetings in Korea?
