Experience sharing of taking the TOPIK I exam in Singapore (SKIS)

Sharing my experience of taking the TOPIK I exam in Singapore. I mainly prepared for it through self-study, so I am writing this to help those who are preparing for the same exam. Initially, I considered taking TOPIK II, but since Level 2 includes essay writing, which I have not taken regular Korean classes recently, I decided that TOPIK I would be more suitable. TOPIK I consists of two sections: listening and reading, which made it less burdensome. I started preparing for the exam by solving practice tests every day two weeks before the exam. Although I took Korean classes a few years ago, recently I have been mainly exposed to the language through K-pop or variety shows, which made me familiar with vocabulary and sentence structures. On the day of the exam at SKIS, the schedule is as follows. You must bring the TOPIK registration confirmation email printed out along with your ID. The school is a bit far from the nearest MRT station, so it is convenient to take a shuttle bus near King Albert Park MRT or use a taxi. Upon arrival, candidates gather in the cafeteria to confirm their names and exam room locations, then move to the exam room according to the announcement. A tip for those taking the exam for the first time is about marking the answer sheet. Since I mainly did online practice tests, it was surprisingly time-consuming to mark the answers on paper with a pen during the actual exam. It is necessary to allocate more time for marking. The results were announced approximately 6 weeks later, and the site was a bit slow when first announced, so it was easier to check later.
