Should I move from a goshiwon in Jongno-gu to a one-room apartment?

Hello! I am a 20-year-old young man living in a goshiwon in Jongno-gu, Seoul right now. My parents say this place is good, but the room is a bit small and uncomfortable. Still, they say there are many opportunities here.
I recently got a job. I plan to apply to university within the next 1-2 years, so this job may not be a big help in the long run, but I really enjoy it now. The problem is that the commute takes 50 minutes. I am currently working part-time for 3 days, but the employer has proposed 5 days of work. They say I can receive government benefits by signing a contract, so should I start working full-time now?
What I am considering is moving to a one-room apartment near my workplace. The monthly rent is cheaper than the goshiwon I am in now, and the space is larger. However, I am worried because that area is not popular and far from the city center. I am unsure whether I should move right away or wait a few more months to decide. I am also afraid that the new one-room apartment might be rented out.
Advice from those with experience is urgently needed. Is it too much to move for a job that has only been for a week?
