Why does the pronunciation of '쪽' sound different in Korean dramas?

I discovered that when watching Korean dramas, the word '쪽' is pronounced long and strong like '쭉' when indicating direction. For example, when saying '왼쪽', it sounds like '왼쭉'. Why does this pronunciation change occur? I have heard this pronunciation change several times while watching dramas, especially in scenes set in areas like Gangnam in Seoul. I'm curious if the lengthening of the pronunciation changes the meaning, or if it's just a stylistic expression used in dramas. Is there anyone who can explain this pronunciation change? I want to understand these pronunciation differences well while living in Korea. Thank you!
