After living in Germany for 6 years and returning to Korea, what cultural differences have you noticed?

After living in Germany for 6 years and returning to Korea, I feel many things differently. First, the perception of personal space is really different. In Germany, maintaining distance between people was natural, but in Korea, it seems like people don't really care even if they bump into each other. It took quite some time to readjust. Also, there were many differences in conversational styles. Germans are direct and have a cold feeling, while Koreans approach warmly but very indirectly. The communication styles of these two countries may feel somewhat distant to foreigners. And I really felt Korea's 'hurry hurry' culture. I was used to the leisurely pace in Germany, so it was difficult to keep up with Korea's fast speed at first. Lastly, making friends in Korea as an adult was more difficult than I expected. In Germany, I easily made friends with people of various nationalities, but in Seoul, it was hard to move beyond superficial relationships at first. Has anyone else had a similar experience of living abroad and returning? I would like to hear about your experiences. 😊
