Will the status of a second-generation overseas Korean be maintained when their parents return to Korea?

Hello, I would like to seek technical advice regarding military service obligations. I am currently a Korean male over the age of 25, who immigrated to a foreign country before the age of six and currently holds permanent residency. I am registered as a '2nd generation overseas Korean', and I am curious if my status as a 2nd generation overseas Korean will automatically be extinguished if one or both of my parents permanently return to Korea. I want to establish my residency status independently from my parents by obtaining personal overseas immigration reporting and permission for overseas travel. If my parents return to Korea, will this independent reporting and subsequent permission for overseas travel until the age of 37 protect my exempt status? I am confused as to why overseas travel permission is required while I have the status of a 2nd generation overseas Korean. Is there anyone who can provide advice or share experiences related to this?
